About Jaclyn
Hello! I'm a registered dietitian nutritionist and diabetes educator with over 6 years of clinical and counseling experience. After working at a large hospital, I found my true passion in the nutrition field: one-on-one counseling to support others on their health journey. I specialize in blood sugar management for people with insulin resistance, PCOS, or prediabetes/diabetes but also love working with people to improve heart health and cholesterol, manage weight, or improve relationship with food.
Approach to care
I take an individualized, holistic approach to nutrition and health, recognizing that all foods can fit within a lifestyle of balance, moderation, and flexibility. I love to help others out of the short-term, unsustainable diet cycle to develop a positive relationship with food for life. Making any type of change can be challenging – I will provide evidence-based education, tools, and support along the way.
Your first session with Jaclyn
I will focus on getting to know you to best support you on your health journey. We'll chat about past medical history, routine, lifestyle, eating habits and preferences, relationship with food, and unique health goals. Together, we will decide on a tangible step to implement right away, resources to help you make that step, and a plan for future appointments. Follow-up appointments will discuss more details and trouble-shoot problems to fine-tune the action plan.
