About Jacqueline
My name is Jackie Whatley. I am from the Memphis, Tennessee area. I am interested in helping others to understand up-to-date evidenced-based nutrition recommendations to help manage their conditions. I have been a dietitian since April 2022. I have a husband and 2-year-old toddler boy and enjoy watching my child learn about the world.
Approach to care
My goal is to emphatically listen to patients to understand where they are in their nutrition journey. I would like to start out sessions by listening in on what challenges you are facing and focus in on them. Once I know where my patient is at, I want to help the patient come up with 1-2 small goals each week. I hope to follow up the next week with you so we can discuss those goals and how it went.
Your first session with Jacqueline
I want to learn who you are and about your daily routine so we can come up with a plan on how I can help you throughout the sessions. I will enter each session in a non-judging manner. I want to focus in on healthy eating, rather than calorie counting. In the first session, I would like to discuss your long-term nutrition goals. I want to discuss short-term goals in each weekly session.
Education
I obtained my Bachelor's in Health Science from the University of Memphis in 2020. I obtained my Master's of Nutrition at Mississippi State University. I wrote a thesis regarding the low-FODMAP diet efficacy to treat irritable bowel syndrome.
Hobbies
I enjoy rock climbing, cooking, and spending time with my family at the park.
