About Jainess
Hi! I am a bilingual Registered Dietitian (English/Spanish) with clinical nutrition experience in both inpatient clinical nutrition and outpatient oncology nutrition. In the hospital setting, Iāve supported patients with complex medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, and gastrointestinal disorders. In the outpatient setting, Iāve worked with individuals navigating the unique nutrition challenges that come with cancer and/or cancer treatment. These experiences have shown me how important it is to create nutrition plans that are evidence-based, sustainable, and inclusive of culturally relevant foods to support each personās lifestyle. I work closely with each patient to develop practical, personalized strategies that honor their food preferences and traditions while supporting long-term health.
Approach to care
My approach to care focuses on setting realistic, personalized SMART goals that break bigger health objectives into manageable steps. I believe in creating sustainable, long-term changes rather than quick fixes, ensuring that nutrition strategies fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. I take time to understand each patientās unique needs and challenges. My counseling style is supportive, empathetic, and motivational. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space while offering structure and accountability to help you achieve your health goals with confidence. Together, weāll track progress, celebrate wins, and adjust as needed, with built-in accountability to help you stay motivated and on course toward your goals.
Your first session with Jainess
In your first session, weāll start by getting to know your health history, lifestyle, and personal goals. Iāll take time to learn about the foods you enjoy, including culturally meaningful meals, so we can set goals that feel realistic and enjoyable. My intention is to show you that improving your nutrition doesnāt mean sacrificing flavor or giving up the foods that matter to you.
