About Jalene

Hi, I’m Jalene — a registered dietitian with 7 years of experience helping people transform their health and their lives. My passion for nutrition began as a high school athlete when working with a dietitian changed everything for me: my performance skyrocketed, my mental health improved, and I learned how powerful food could be in shaping my life. That experience set me on this path. Since then, I’ve coached Division I athletes at Texas Tech, earned my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition, and served hundreds of Veterans at the VA, helping them overcome obesity, reverse diabetes, and restore their energy. With additional training in eating disorders and the psychology of food, I combine both science and behavior change to create lasting results.

Approach to care

I believe nutrition care should never be one-size-fits-all. My approach blends evidence-based strategies with a deeply personalized touch, because every person’s journey with food is unique. I look at the science — your lab work, health history, and goals — but I also listen closely to your lived experience, your environment, and your relationship with food. I help clients uncover the “why” behind their eating patterns and build practical, sustainable habits that fit their real lives. My role is to guide you toward success in a way that feels achievable, compassionate, and supportive — so that change isn’t just possible, but lasting.

Your first session with Jalene

Our first session is all about me getting to know your story. I’ll invite you to share a brief overview of your health history, starting from childhood and moving through any major life events that have shaped your eating habits, your health, or your relationship with food. Understanding the experiences that influenced you — whether they were challenges, transitions, or victories — helps me see the whole picture of who you are. This allows me to better personalize your nutrition plan and care approach. You can expect a welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
