About Jamie
Hi, I’m Jamie, a Registered Dietitian with 11 years of experience. I earned my degree from Western Carolina University and have practiced in Clinical and Hospital settings as well as in Community and Renal nutrition programs. I’ve always loved learning about how food fuels our bodies, and I’m passionate about helping others reach their goals with realistic, sustainable changes. I bring warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based guidance to every session, and I’m honored to hold the LD and RD credentials that support my work.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science and compassion. I’ll listen first and translate the latest evidence into practical steps you can use daily. I treat you as a whole person, honoring your values and pace, and I work to create a judgment-free, supportive partnership. We’ll pursue a weight-neutral, health-focused path that emphasizes sustainable habits, balance across meals, sleep, and movement, and lifelong learning. Education is key so you can make informed choices you feel confident about.
Your first session with Jamie
Our first appointment is a warm, collaborative conversation about you. We’ll review your medical history, current routines, and short-term goals, and I’ll ask what’s working and what isn’t. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet; we’ll figure it out together. We’ll set 1–2 realistic goals to start, and I’ll outline a practical plan to support you between visits. The space is nonjudgmental and focused on helping you feel heard, respected, and prepared to begin.
