About Jamie
Jamie is a South Florida native who began her professional journey with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University, along with minors in Business Administration and Psychology. After five years in corporate marketing, she chose to follow her passion for food and wellness by earning a second degreeāa Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Keiser University. Jamieās love of food, cooking, and nutrition naturally led her to a career in dietetics. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) and a Certified ARFID Specialist. Jamie is deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care and helping individuals heal their relationship with food and their bodies. In her work with eating disorders, she combines her background in psychology with her training in nutrition to support clients in finding peace and freedom from disordered eating.
Approach to care
Jamie takes a compassionate, client-centered approach to nutrition therapy, grounded in a weight-inclusive and trauma-informed philosophy. She believes that healing from an eating disorder requires more than just nutritional rehabilitationāit involves rebuilding trust with food, body, and self. Jamie works collaboratively with clients to create a safe, supportive space where all bodies are respected, and individual experiences are honored. Her approach integrates evidence-based nutrition practices with an understanding of the emotional and psychological complexities of eating disorders, empowering clients to move toward lasting recovery and a more peaceful relationship with food.
Your first session with Jamie
Your first session with Jamie is all about getting to know youāyour story, your goals, and your unique experiences with food and body. She approaches each session with empathy and curiosity, creating a non-judgmental space where you can feel safe and supported. Together, you'll explore your relationship with food, eating patterns, medical and mental health history, and any current challenges you're facing. Jamie will also discuss how nutrition counseling fits into your overall treatment plan and collaborate with you to set realistic, individualized goals. Her aim is to meet you where you are and begin building a trusting relationship that supports your recovery journey.
