About Janet
As a Registered Dietitian with over two decades of experience, I bring a wealth of clinical knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people build a healthier relationship with food. Since earning my RD credentials in 2001, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients β from individuals managing type 2 diabetes and weight loss goals, to research participants at a General Clinical Research Center, where I contributed to menu planning and nutritional protocols at a clinical level. Gut health is a particular area of focus for me. I recently completed the Low FODMAP Diet Training Program through Monash University, the world leader in FODMAP research, equipping me with the most current, evidence-based tools to help clients manage digestive conditions like IBS and other gut-related concerns.
Approach to care
What sets my practice apart is a deep commitment to food safety. With extensive experience in safe food handling procedures, I integrate practical food safety guidance into every counseling session β because nourishing your body well means not only what you eat, but how safely it's prepared. Whether you're looking to improve your gut health, manage a chronic condition, or simply build better habits, I'm here to guide you with expertise, care, and a whole-person approach to nutrition.
Your first session with Janet
Your first visit is all about you β and that means we slow down before we dive in. Before we talk meal plans or nutrition goals, I want to get to know you as a person. What foods do you love? What have you tried before that just didn't stick? What does a realistic day look like for you? These details aren't just background β they're the foundation of everything we build together. I'll ask about your health goals, your lifestyle, and what's brought you to Nourish at this point in your journey. If this is your first time working with a dietitian, that's completely okay β we'll talk through what that means, what I do, and what you can realistically expect from our work together. There are no silly questions, and there's no judgment. By the end of our first session, my goal is simple: for you to leave feeling heard, informed, and genuinely hopeful about what's ahead.
