About Janet
I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 25 years and a Certified Diabetes Educator and Health Coach for over ten years. I started my career in the clinical environment but quickly learned that I wanted to work more pro-actively with people to get and stay well before they ended up in the hospital.
Approach to care
We are all individuals and we each need our own "lifestyle plans." A "one size fits all" approach just does not work. I believe that autonomy is key and my role serves you best as a guide, educator and non-judgmental advocate for your health. I like to have fun and I am always curious about "my people." I work with my members on the "four pillars" of health: diet, movement, sleep and stress.
Your first session with Janet
You will be heard. A complete medical, nutritional and physical activity assessment will be taken as well as discussion around sleep and stress. We will discuss long and short-term goals and motivators, discuss what you want to do to get started, find out what you already know or have tried and go from there. We will then use SMART goals to come up with small achievable goals to practice for the following week that will eventually form into habits that will last you a lifetime.
