About Jean
Hi, I’m Jean. With 19 years as a Registered Dietitian, I bring broad experience across clinical settings, private practice, corporate wellness, community health, research, geriatrics, endocrinology, and mental health, with a focus on weight management. I earned a Master's in Nutrition and a Doctorate in Public Health, and my postnominals RD and PhD anchor my approach. I also teach nutrition at universities, helping students and clients translate science into everyday choices. Outside of work I love traveling, tennis, dancing, nature, cooking, tasting cuisines, reading, photography, and board games. I know life is busy, and I’m grateful to walk with you as you explore healthier habits that fit who you are. Together, we’ll learn, adapt, and celebrate progress, wherever you are in your journey.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is simple but strong. I’m committed to evidence based, science focused guidance while staying empathetic and warm, meeting you where you are without judgment. We’ll set direct, action oriented steps that you can actually do, building accountability that feels possible. I practice with a Health At Every Size lens, focusing on behaviors and wellbeing rather than chasing a number on a scale. I treat you holistically, considering mental and emotional health alongside nutrition. Education is at the heart of every session, so you’ll leave with clear reasons, practical tips, and confidence to choose foods and routines that support lasting change. Together, we’ll create sustainable habits you can trust.
Your first session with Jean
Think of our first visit as a conversation about you, not a test. We’ll start by reviewing your medical history, lab work or biometrics, current routines, and your short term goals. We’ll talk about what has and hasn’t worked before, and what you’d like to achieve next. There’s no need to have it all figured out yet; my job is to help you clarify your priorities and design a realistic plan. You’ll leave with a sense of direction, a couple of first steps, and a clear idea of how we’ll move forward together.
