About Jean
If youâre feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start with your health or weight, youâre not alone â and you donât have to figure it out by yourself. Iâm Jean, a registered dietitian with extensive experience helping people approach nutrition in a way that feels realistic, compassionate, and sustainable. I specialize in weight management, including support for individuals using GLP-1 and other weight-loss medications. Many clients I work with are navigating appetite changes, side effects, low energy, or fear of âdoing it wrong.â My role is to help you feel nourished, supported, and confident! Not restricted or judged. Together, we focus on habits that fit your life and support your health and well-being. When we work together, you can expect a calm, encouraging space, realistic goals, and steady progress. Success isnât just about the scale, itâs about feeling stronger, more in control, and more hopeful about your health.
Approach to care
When we work together, you can expect a calm, fun, encouraging space where you feel heard and supported. Weâll start with where you are, not where you think you âshouldâ be. Iâll help you make sense of nutrition in simple terms, set realistic goals, and take small steps that add up over time. Weâll check in often, adjust as needed, and focus on how youâre feeling along the way. Most clients tell me they feel: Less overwhelmed and more in control; More confident about food and their choices; Better supported and understood;Hopeful about their health again You donât have to do this alone. Iâll walk alongside you and help you build a healthier relationship with food, one step at a time.
Your first session with Jean
In your first session, weâll talk about your goals, challenges, and whatâs going on in your life right now. If youâre using a GLP-1 medication, weâll discuss how itâs affecting your appetite and eating. Together, weâll set simple, realistic next steps so you leave feeling supported and confident about moving forward.
Education
B.S. University of Illinois, Nutrition and Medical Dietetics; Certificate in weight management, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; Certificate in mental health and addiction services, Florida Southwest State College
Hobbies
When Iâm not working with clients, I love staying active and enjoying lifeâs everyday joys. Youâll often find me playing pickleball (competitively⊠and enthusiastically), strength training, or working on my golf game â progress, not perfection applies there too. Iâm happiest spending time with my husband, kids, and grandchildren, traveling, being outdoors, or sharing a good conversation and a good laugh. Faith and community are important to me, and they help keep me grounded, grateful, and optimistic. At heart, Iâm a cheerleader. I genuinely love encouraging people, celebrating small wins, and reminding others of what theyâre capable of, especially when things feel hard or slow. I believe health should support your life, not take it over. Food, movement, and self-care are meant to help you feel stronger, more energized, and more present for the people and things you love. That belief shows up in my work every day: realistic, balanced, encouraging, and always human.
