About Jenan
I’m a registered dietitian with a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern and 9 years of experience providing outpatient nutrition counseling and education. I’ve worked with individuals managing a wide range of health conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, digestive issues, and weight concerns, as well as those seeking support for general wellness and prevention. My background in clinical nutrition allows me to combine evidence-based medical knowledge with a compassionate, real-world approach. I enjoy helping people understand how nutrition can fit into their lives in a flexible, enjoyable way — one that supports both their health and their happiness.
Approach to care
My mission is to help you reach your health goals while still enjoying the foods that bring you comfort and joy. Healthy eating should be satisfying, flavorful, and flexible — not restrictive or stressful. I believe in building small, sustainable habits over time that create lasting results. I focus on finding balance: you can nourish your body while still enjoying your favorite meals and social moments. Whether that’s having dessert at a celebration or savoring a home-cooked comfort food, we’ll work together to develop a plan that supports your health and your happiness. I take a personalized, whole-person approach that looks beyond numbers to consider how food affects your energy, mood, and overall well-being. Together, we’ll explore your goals, habits, and challenges to create a realistic plan that feels empowering and doable.
Your first session with Jenan
During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you as an individual. You can expect to discuss a variety of topics — including your health goals, medical history, family health background, lifestyle habits, and current eating patterns — so that I can provide the most personalized, supportive, and informed care possible. The information we discuss will guide the creation of a nutrition plan tailored specifically to you and help us prioritize both your short-term and long-term goals. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear, actionable plan and a sense of confidence and direction as we begin your journey toward better health.
