About Jenna

Hello, and thank you for visiting my Nourish profile! My name is Jenna, and I have been practicing as a dietitian for almost 15 years. I truly believe food can be medicine, impacting our health in ways we often overlook. Nourish's company name is, in fact, how I like to view food, through a lens of nourishment for our physical and mental health, nourishing our souls in numerous ways. My love for food and its connection to health, which I developed early on as a child from my introduction to gardens, is what prompted me to study nutrition and dietetics. I recently completed my master's degree in Sustainable Food Systems and an MBA, driven by my interest in finding ways to reduce the environmental footprint of the food system.

Approach to care

Everyone is different and so I consider each person's preferences and what fits into their lifestyle. I believe most people understand what they need to do but have sometimes lost touch with this information or need accountability to assist them in reaching their goals. Ultimately, you know your body the best and I am hear to provide suggestions or ideas to improve your health. Self-care can be hard as we live in a world that doesn't always value it, but by taking the first step to seek nutritional therapy, you are changing that.

Your first session with Jenna

I want to understand you as a whole person, so I ask detailed, health-related questions about your diet, labs, sleep patterns, physical activity, stress levels, and relationships. Additionally, I want to know why you are seeking nutritional therapy. Finally, we work together to create several goals that you can implement immediately, which will ultimately help you reach your long-term goal. I prefer to meet with people on a weekly basis for the first several weeks, so we can create a solid plan together.
