About Jennie

Hi, thank you for checking out my profile! I am a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) with certifications in weight management and functional nutrition. I specialize in prevention and management of chronic diseases and gut health, I have been providing medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education to many diverse populations for the past 30 years. I base my practice in the Greater Los Angeles area and offer nutrition counseling in-person and via telehealth. My experience spans many medical conditions, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, prediabetes, PCOS, kidney disease, fatty liver, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, weight management, hormonal imbalance, autoimmune disease and gastrointestinal disorders.

Approach to care

There are two aspects to my approach: I use a holistic, integrative approach that combines ancient wisdom and modern evidence-based science to help you to achieve your health goals. Like every good dietitian, my practice is patient centered. Together with your input, we will develop dietary and lifestyle strategies that are tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Another important aspect of my approach is to empower you to manage your own health. Knowledge is power. It is a priority for me to discuss with you how to listen to your body and understand your biomarkers. These are tools that you can use to monitor your health and be your own health advocate.
