About Jennifer
Food and practical habits have shaped my life and my work for the past 14 years. I trained with a BS in Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. My community health background taught me how small, realistic changes add up. As an RDN and LD who is also a Certified Lactation Counselor, I enjoy translating evidence into everyday steps. Outside of work you might find me scrapbooking, decorating my home, or planning my next trip.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I work with patients. I center conversations on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, using current research and practical strategies so we know what works and why. I practice through a weight-neutral lens, focusing on behaviors, health outcomes, and the whole person, including mental and lifestyle factors. Together we'll set clear, achievable steps, learn the how and why behind them, and adapt as life changes so progress lasts.
Your first session with Jennifer
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history, current meal patterns, and what you hope to change. I want to hear about your routines, concerns, and what has or hasn’t worked for you, then we'll establish one or two short-term goals to get started. You don't need to have all the answers coming in. We'll break things into manageable steps and build a plan that fits your life, at a pace that feels sustainable.
