About Jennifer

Dr. Jennifer Koslo, PhD, RDN, LDN, CPT has been a practicing dietitian for over 25 years. Jennifer’s experience includes almost three years as a US Peace Corps fisheries volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa; working in clinical nutrition as a cardiac dietitian; for a state health department as the chronic disease nutritionist; as a college professor teaching nutrition, sports nutrition, health coaching, mindfulness and other topics, and as a private practice dietitian doing nutrition counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy through her private practice Koslo’s Nutrition Solutions. Author of ten healthy eating cookbooks, her latest book, DASH for Weight Loss, was published in November 2019. A lifelong runner and vegan, Jennifer is passionate about making healthy eating easy and accessible for everyone for optimal health, to fuel fitness, and to promote longevity.

Approach to care

I meet people where they are in their health journey and together we identify 1-2 focus areas with which to start. Working together we strategize ways to make incremental, sustainable changes to improve health span and longevity. My recommendations are personalized according to each individual's unique circumstances.

Your first session with Jennifer

In our first session together I will get to know you, what brought you to Nourish, what you are hoping to achieve, and your goals. I take my time getting to know you and your history and relationship with food and physical activity. I like to get a full picture of who you are which helps me to tailor my care.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from Juniata College, a dual Master of Science degree in human nutrition/exercise science from Colorado State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in education from Capella University.

Hobbies

Running, cycling, kettle bell, vegan cooking, walking my dog, and learning Portuguese.
