About Jennifer
Hi I’m Jen and I’m a Registered Dietitian and licensed nutritionist. I hold a master’s degree in nutrition education from Immaculata University, along with additional certifications in Integrative and Functional nutrition and the Low Fodmap Diet for IBS via Monash University. In my personal life, I am happily married to my husband for 28 years. Together we have two children and a dog. Outside of work I enjoy lifting weights, walking, playing golf, reading, music, gardening and traveling. I love connecting with my clients, and supporting them throughout their nutrition journey. My interest in nutrition counseling began after facing a personal illness, which was soon followed by my mother’s battle with cancer. These experiences deepened my understanding of how powerfully food can nourish the body, build resilience, and influence health outcomes.
Approach to care
In my approach to care, I work with clients to create simple, realistic strategies that fit effortlessly into your busy lifestyle. Together, we develop practical tools you can use every day to make nutrition feel sustainable, enjoyable, and doable. I take your preferences into account, identify potential barriers, and help you build lifelong habits you can feel confident maintaining. I never prescribe overly restrictive diet plans or act like the “food police”. Instead, I love helping my clients come up with fun and creative ways to add more nourishing food to their plate and to build their confidence in the kitchen. My recommendations are always evidence based, which means that they correlate with current studies and research.
Your first session with Jennifer
My counseling style is patient centered. I tailor my recommendations to fit your needs and in doing so, I want you to feel seen, heard and validated. To me, this is why individual nutrition counseling is so valuable. During our first session, I want to learn about your medical history, food preferences, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep habits, exercise routine and anything else that can contribute to your success or create barriers for you. I want to be your biggest cheerleader in helping you succeed with your nutrition goals, and I also want to be a support person that you can get to know and trust. It’s not about “eating perfectly” because that’s unrealistic. It’s about helping you find ways to create routines and habits that you feel great about and that yield long lasting results that allow you to feel your best.
