About Jennifer

About I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with almost 20 years of experience, passionate about helping patients proactively manage diabetes and cardiovascular conditions through sustainable lifestyle changes. Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit instilled in me that Midwestern work ethic and practical approach to problem-solving – plus an unwavering loyalty to the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and Spartans (yes, even through all the heartbreak!). Two decades ago, I traded Michigan's humidity for North Idaho's stunning mountain views and crisp, dry air. I believe in focusing on what truly matters – your quality of life, energy levels, and overall well-being, rather than getting caught up in numbers on a scale or restrictive measurements. My approach emphasizes practical nutrition strategies that fit into your life and enhance how you feel daily.

Approach to care

Approach to care Just like my beloved Detroit sports teams have taught me resilience and the importance of showing up consistently, I believe in focusing on what truly matters – your quality of life, energy levels, and overall well-being, rather than getting caught up in numbers on a scale or restrictive measurements. My Midwestern roots shaped my no-nonsense, practical approach to nutrition counseling. I'm passionate about helping patients proactively manage diabetes and cardiovascular conditions through sustainable lifestyle changes that actually work in the real world. Whether you're dealing with the chaos of everyday life or just trying to figure out what works best for your body, I'm here to help you create strategies that stick – kind of like how I've stuck with Michigan sports through thick and thin (mostly thin, let's be honest).

Your first session with Jennifer

What to expect in your first session We'll discuss your health history, current challenges, and personal goals during our initial consultation – think of it as getting to know each other over coffee, minus the actual coffee (unless you want to discuss your caffeine habits!). I'll take time to understand your lifestyle, preferences, and any barriers you're facing, because let's face it, life doesn't always cooperate with our best-laid plans. Together, we'll create a realistic, personalized plan that prioritizes your well-being and quality of life. You can expect a collaborative, non-judgmental approach where we focus on progress, not perfection – after all, if I can stay optimistic about the Lions, I can definitely help you stay positive about your health journey. Plus, if you're ever in Idaho and want to chat about the incredible hiking trails or why this place beats Michigan humidity hands down, I'm all ears!
