About Jenny

I enjoy meeting people! I like to consider myself to be a well-seasoned dietitian due to the fact, I have worked in public health, community service, foodservice, clinical in geriatric, psychiatric, inpatient and outpatient. I have been working in dietetics for many years and for the past 15 years, I have been working with people with diabetes. My love for the job and helping people manage their blood sugars and prevent further complications, lead me to become a Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist. I have experience in managing weight loss, kidney disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol in addition to diabetes. Many of these diseases hang out like cousins. However, my main passion is prevention and have you to live your best life!

My approach to care is getting to know you and learn what is important to you. Find what motivates you to help you reach your health goals. This will be done with active listening and keeping your personal preferences and life circumstances front and centered.

Your first session with Jenny

Me listening to your concerns and questions. I want to know what matters to you. I will conduct a complete nutrition assessment using motivational interviewing. We will then create a personalized and evidence based plan to start you on your healthy journey.

Education

Master of Science in General Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition and Institutional Management from East Carolina University
