About Jess

I became a dietitian because I believe in a simple but transformative truth: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." In an era of endless nutrition misinformation and "viral" diets, my goal is to be your trusted guide in deciphering what nutrition actually means for your unique body. While my clinical roots are in Diabetes management—including the technical side of Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and A1c reduction—I believe in treating the whole person. This has led me to specialize in the interconnected areas of Menopause, PCOS, Weight Management, and GLP-1 nutrition support. Whether you are looking to transition to a plant-based lifestyle or manage a chronic condition, I am here to help you heal through food and transform your relationship with what you eat.

Approach to care

My approach is built on one core principle: Understanding the "Why." I believe that if you don't understand the science behind a recommendation, you are much less likely to stick with it. That’s why our sessions are more than just a list of "dos and don’ts"—they are an education. I combine high-level clinical data with practical, real-world lifestyle modifications. When we work together, we aren't just looking at numbers on a screen or a scale; we are looking at how to build a sustainable, joyful way of eating that supports your health goals. I strive to create a space where you feel empowered, informed, and confident in your ability to maintain your progress for a lifetime.

Your first session with Jess

Our first 60-minute session is a deep dive into your story. I want to understand your health history, lifestyle, and relationship with food to create a plan that actually works for you. Here is how we will spend our time: Sharing Your Story: We’ll review your medical history, labs, and A1c goals. If you use a CGM or insulin pump, we can discuss your data to see how your body is responding in real-time. The "Why" Assessment: We’ll explore what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I’ll explain the science behind my recommendations because understanding the "why" is the key to lasting change. A Judgment-Free Zone: We’ll review your eating patterns with the belief that there are no "good" or "bad" foods. I will never tell you to cut anything out! Instead, we’ll identify 1–3 manageable goals you can start today. The Blueprint: We’ll create a follow-up plan to ensure you feel supported and accountable as you heal through food.
