About Jessica
Hi all! I entered this industry because I wanted to share and support the approach that Food Is Medicine. I speak from experience when I say that you are what you eat. From there, I have not looked back. Since becoming a Registered Dietitian in 2019, I have expanded my skillset on various areas of dietetics - diabetes and endocrine management, weight management, gastroenterology, renal, cardiology, holistic and integrative nutrition, and weight loss for busy-working women.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition care is rooted in compassion, collaboration and science - I tend to take a practical and down to earth approach for patients looking to make healthy changes in their day-to-day life. I look at nutrition through an "80/20" lens - supporting life full of enjoyment, confidence and mindfulness. Together, we'll build a foundation of balanced nutrition, mindful eating and achievable goals that promote lasting healthy habits for longevity.
Your first session with Jessica
We will get to know one another by reviewing your goals, expectations, and general nutrition-based history. Think of it ass a relaxed and supportive conversation - no pressure, no judgement. You don't need to prepare anything special, but feel free to bring any recent labs, a list of medications, or even a food diary if you have one. We will discuss the foundation and framework for nutrition, while also formulating SMART goals which are specific, measurable, realistic, timely, and achievable.
