About Jessica
Hi! I'm Jessica, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist dedicated to supporting my patients in managing weight, diabetes, heart health, kidney health, and women's health, while incorporating a plant-forward approach to managing chronic conditions. Growing up in culinary-rich Houston, Texas, I developed a deep passion for food early on! Though initially drawn to culinary school, my path led me to dietetics, where I learned how to blend my kitchen creativity with evidence-based science. Food serves us in many ways and brings people together. My goal is to empower you to make informed choices that support your health, while also maintaining the freedom to enjoy all foods.
Approach to care
As your dietitian, my number one priority is to listen. I believe in personalized and sustainable nutrition care, approaching each session with empathy and understanding that everyone's wellness journey is different. I tailor my recommendations and counseling style to suit your unique needs, goals, and personality traits. My commitment is to help you achieve long-term, positive changes that enhance your health and well-being while rejecting restrictive diet rules and building a better relationship with food. Your health and happiness are my top priorities, and I'm here to guide and support you every step of the way!
Your first session with Jessica
In our first session together, I’ll focus on creating a comfortable environment where you can safely share your concerns as we start building our relationship. I'll ask about your nutrition and health goals, medical history, lifestyle, what has or hasn't worked in the past, and gain a good understanding of your current eating habits. The better I understand your day-to-day life, the more effectively we can collaborate to create small, achievable health goals that fit seamlessly into your daily routine and develop into sustainable lifestyle changes over time.
