About Jessica
Hi! I’m Jessica, a dietitian whose experience with nutrition first began when I ran a full marathon back in college, has developed during in 14 years working with the Texas WIC Program, and for which I continue to learn as I pursue my own journey to find balance with food, movement, and rest/recovery. I have learned that sustainable change happens at home, in everyday routines, and with support. I bring warmth, patience, and a belief that small steps add up. I am a firm believer in finding what works for you. I understand that change is hard. Progress takes time. Having the support of someone to encourage you through the hiccups that are an inevitable part of life, makes all the difference. I would love to be that person for you by sharing positive reminders, reinforcing habits, and leaning into discomfort to maximize your efforts. Whether you're beginning a new health journey or looking to fine-tune habits, I am here to assist with practical advice, encouragement, and support.
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on evidence based, compassionate collaboration with you taking the lead. No one knows you better than you do. I ground our plan in current research and proven protocols, while honoring your life and goals as the foundation for implementing changes that work for you. I believe in a focus on adding to versus restricting or taking away. My approach is holistic in nature, and I see all parts as interconnected to getting the results we hope to achieve to feel our best self. Working together we will find ways to add to behaviors that are already established and provide choices to what you are already doing, so that you feel you have more rather than less. I think it is important to celebrate the victories, no matter the size, because change is hard. A change is change, no matter how big or small. I want to encourage you every step of the way towards your idea of success.
Your first session with Jessica
Our first appointment is all about you. I want to get to know what makes you, "YOU." We will discuss your daily habits, interests, goals/intentions, and what fills your days to understand you as an individual. There is no pressure to have it all figured out. I will take time to listen and learn what matters most. Together we will map a realistic plan that gives you 1-2 small, actionable steps that you can begin as soon as our session ends, setting the foundation for ongoing support and sustainable change. My hope is that you will leave feeling seen, heard, and fully supported with the right knowledge, tools, and a clear plan that aligns with what is most important to you.
