About Jessica
I began my career in dietetics serving Veterans of all complexities at the Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC) and have since worked at Bay Pines VAMC (FL) and Columbia VAMC (SC), where I managed the MOVE Weight Loss Program and contributed to Whole Health and Employee Wellness initiatives. I also have experience providing nutrition services for children birth-5 years, prenatal and post-partum mothers.
Approach to care
I do not believe in a “one nutrition plan fits all” approach. I like to meet my clients where they are and help them meet small sustainable goals. All goals should be S.M.A.R.T. S (Specific - Have a clear and concise plan of action) M (Measurable- Have the ability to measure growth/success) A (Action oriented - we need to DO something) R (Realistic - a task you can complete) T (Timing - have a clear end point/date).
Your first session with Jessica
You can expect a casual environment complete with "get to know you" questions for me to learn about you and your nutrition goals. I encourage you to be open and honest. I will provide time for you to ask nutrition related questions. We will establish a plan of action and set a date to meet your goals - including number of sessions.
