About Jessica

Hi, I’m Jessica Holland, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist with 13 years of experience helping people improve their health through nutrition. I specialize in diabetes care, women’s health, heart health (lipid management), and nutrition counseling focused on longevity and vitality. Originally from Idaho, I now call Sitka, Alaska home, where I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Approach to care

I believe that nutrition is about more than just weight loss—it’s about feeling better, improving energy levels, and supporting long-term health. My approach is rooted in intuitive eating, helping individuals navigate conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and PCOS, and GI issues without focusing solely on the scale. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, including those recovering from disordered eating and eating disorders, to help them develop a balanced and sustainable relationship with food. My goal is to empower my clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed, lasting changes that align with their individual health goals.

Your first session with Jessica

Your first session is all about you—your health history, lifestyle, and personal goals. We’ll discuss your current eating habits, medical conditions, and any concerns you have about nutrition. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan that fits your needs, whether that’s managing blood sugar levels, improving heart health, or simply feeling more energized. My approach is non-judgmental and supportive, focusing on real-life, achievable changes that work for you.

Education

Bachelor’s in Psychology – Northwest University of Louisiana • Bachelor’s in Dietetics + Year-Long Internship – Idaho State University • Master’s in Nutrition – Arizona State University • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

Hobbies

When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me outdoors. I love boating, skiing, and trail running, and I feel most at peace when I’m on the water or up in the mountains. My family keeps me busy too—I’m a mom to a four-year-old daughter and a stepmom to two wonderful teenagers. My stepdaughter is in college, and my stepson is a talented high school basketball player. My husband and I love adventuring together, and we currently have one pet—our betta fish.
