About Jessica

I’m Jessica Peterson, MS, RDN, a registered dietitian with a background in digital marketing turned nutrition professional. My path into dietetics started much like many of my clients’, by scrolling through social media and trying to make sense of endless and often conflicting nutrition advice. Coming from a marketing background, I quickly recognized how trends and messaging influence the way we think about food and health. I wanted to better understand nutrition beyond the headlines and help people cut through the noise. That curiosity led me back to school to pursue a degree in nutrition and become a dietitian. Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking simple meals, experimenting with new recipes, and staying active outdoors.

Approach to care

My approach is rooted in functional, evidence based nutrition. I see food as one part of a much larger health picture. Nutrition is deeply personal, and food is about more than calories. It plays a role in energy, mood, enjoyment, and overall well being. I focus on making nutrition practical, personalized, and enjoyable. Rather than rigid rules or quick fixes, I help clients simplify nutrition, navigate food trends, and build habits that feel sustainable. My goal is to make healthy eating feel approachable and supportive of real life.

Your first session with Jessica

When you work with me, you can expect a supportive and judgment free space. Your goals, preferences, and lifestyle guide our work together. Our first session is focused on getting to know you, including your health history, routines, challenges, and what you hope to gain from nutrition counseling. We will identify realistic and achievable next steps that fit into your daily life. This may include building balanced meals, understanding food labels, or rethinking your relationship with food. I value strong, collaborative relationships and tailor strategies to fit busy schedules, whether you are a student, parent, professional, or athlete. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident in your food choices.
