About Jessica
Hello! I am a registered dietitian with over 6 years of experience primarily working in a clinical setting. Over the past 4 years, I have especially loved working with cancer patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. Although a majority of my experience is with cancer patients, I also enjoy helping individuals achieve a healthy lifestyle and relationship with food. In my spare time, I enjoy teaching a variety of group fitness classes, and I am excited to share my knowledge of both fitness and nutrition. I believe nutrition and exercise are powerful tools to living a happy and healthy life, and I will use evidence-based information to help you achieve the goals you desire.
Approach to care
I became interested in nutrition and fitness after struggling with my own health. Given my own journey to health and wellness, I will have a judgment-free approach to your care and want you to feel safe to share your experiences and barriers. I want to help fulfill your needs and guide you to make sustainable changes. I believe nutrition is medicine - some food is meant to nourish your body and others are food for the soul. I want to help you find a balanced approach to eating well by listening, motivating, and providing individualized nutrition care.
Your first session with Jessica
In our first session, we will discuss your desired goals, current eating habits, and I may ask for a little bit of background information to really get to know you and find what motivates you. I want us to become a team and collaborate on how to get you where you want to be on your health journey. This first session will also be a great opportunity for you to ask me any questions as well! I hope you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and confident in making the next step to sustainable change.
