About Jessica

Fueled by a lifelong fascination with how food nourishes the body, I was drawn to the world of dietetics. Earning my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University and completing my dietetic internship with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services equipped me with a strong foundation. My diverse experience spans various healthcare settings, from community health programs to the fast-paced world of acute care and outpatient nutrition clinics. I've had the privilege of working with patients on both an individual and group basis, tailoring my approach to their unique needs.

Approach to care

My approach to nutrition counseling is rooted in simplicity and practicality. I believe that small, sustainable changes are the cornerstone of long-term success. By meeting patients where they are in their journey, we can collaboratively set SMART goals that align with their lifestyle, preferences, and budget. I prioritize using language that is familiar and approachable, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and understood. I recommend foods that are readily available and affordable, making healthy eating a seamless and stress-free experience.

Your first session with Jessica

Our sessions will be a collaborative journey! To craft a personalized plan for your success, we'll begin by exploring your health history, lifestyle, and current eating habits. This includes understanding your food preferences – after all, sustainable change is all about incorporating healthy choices you truly enjoy. By getting a clear picture of where you are in your health journey, we can work together to identify your goals and develop a roadmap to achieve them.
