About Jillian
After witnessing family struggle with type 2 diabetes & various health challenges, I have been passionate about helping people learn how to navigate health and nutrition that values their cultural roots and incorporates holistic practices that can help them in all aspects of their lives. My specialty is helping people navigate the "noise" online around holistic health so they can build a holistically healthy lifestyle that allows them to enjoy well seasoned food and prevent or manage disease. Additionally, I have 9 years experience with helping families learn how to live well with food allergies.
Approach to care
I use a holistic approach that helps you understand how your diet and habits impact more than your weight. You will learn that health and wellness can be enjoyable as well! A holistic approach to health involves techniques that focus on understanding underlying issues and recognizing how they can help you fix the root instead of minimizing symptoms. This method may help you address common concerns such as insomnia, weight gain, fatigue, headaches, lack of appetite control, etc. This method is also diabetes and heart health friendly.
Your first session with Jillian
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we review your medical history and take a deep look at your relationship with food. We’ll explore routines, cultural foods, past attempts, and what feels most important to you, then establish short-term goals that feel realistic and achievable. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. We’ll move at a pace that fits your life, with practical next steps and ongoing support so progress feels steady and sustainable.
