About Jodi

I am committed to empowering individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle by highlighting the essential roles of nutrition and physical activity. Currently, I am the Director of Nutrition at a Community College, where I have spent years educating and motivating numerous students on the fundamentals of healthy eating and wellness, using evidence-based scientific research to illuminate nutrition concepts. Alongside my dedication to nutrition, I am also a Fitness Instructor and facilitate many exercise classes, reflecting my commitment to a holistic approach to health. I firmly advocate that restrictive diets are unnecessary, and demonstrate how all types of food fit into a healthy eating pattern.

Approach to care

I promote a participant-led approach to care. Together, we will explore opportunities for improvement and evaluate suitable actions that can support you in achieving your diet and lifestyle changes. The choice is yours, but my responsibility is to offer evidence-based guidance, enabling you to make informed decisions. My counseling style focuses on a non-diet philosophy, promoting sustainable and practical adjustments to your diet and overall wellness. Every client will undergo a comprehensive assessment, allowing us to develop a tailored, evidence-based meal plan that aligns with your lifestyle. We will collaborate to identify potential barriers and establish realistic and manageable goals.

Your first session with Jodi

The primary focus of your first session will be on establishing a solid foundation, as it's essential for me to understand you as a unique individual. I'll ask plenty of questions to get a better sense of who you are. Once we have identified our focus areas, we will set a goal that is both realistic and sustainable.
