About Jodi
Jodi is a registered dietitian with extensive experience supporting patients across the lifespan, from medically complex infants and children to adults managing chronic and metabolic conditions. She is known for her warm, thoughtful approach and her ability to connect with patients in a way that feels supportive, respectful, and practical. With a background spanning pediatrics, diabetes care, obesity treatment, and complex medical nutrition therapy, Jodi brings a deep understanding of how nutrition, medications, and real life intersect. She values collaboration and believes nutrition counseling should feel empowering and realisticânot rigid, overwhelming, or judgmental.
Approach to care
I provide compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care tailored to your life. I am a board-certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults living with diabetes. I help patients manage blood sugars, medications, nutrition, and real-life challenges with confidence. I also support individuals using metabolic and weight-related medications, ensuring nutrition remains safe and sustainable. Care is culturally responsive, collaborative, and focused on progressânot perfection. Languages: English, Haitian Kreyòl
Your first session with Jodi
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a plan that feels both supportive and achievable. Weâll talk about what brought you to nutrition counseling, your medical history, current concerns, and any goals youâd like to work toward. Iâll ask questions about eating patterns, medications, lifestyle, family or support systems, and previous experiences with nutrition or healthcareâalways at your pace and without judgment. By the end of the session, weâll outline clear next steps and begin creating a plan that feels realistic, informed, and tailored to you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and more confident about your path forward.

Education
I hold a Masterâs degree in Nutrition and am a Registered Dietitian with board certification in Diabetes Care and Education (CDCES) and Pediatric Nutrition (CSP). I also hold advanced training in obesity care through Harvard Medical School.
Hobbies
Outside of work, I enjoy travel and cultural exploration and will be visiting my 50th country this year. Spending time in different parts of the worldâand living in NYC for many yearsâhas given me meaningful exposure to cuisines, traditions, and food practices from around the globe. This perspective deeply informs my nutrition counseling and helps me support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds in a way that feels respectful and realistic. I also value lifelong learning and regularly pursue continuing professional education to stay current in diabetes care, metabolic health, and nutrition science. Giving back is important to me, and I volunteer each year in different settings, including Haiti, the Bahamas, and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I have spent many years teaching diabetes education to Haitian communities and provide care in Haitian Kreyòl, which allows me to connect more meaningfully with patients and families. Most of all, I value experiences that broaden perspective and deepen connectionâboth personally and professionallyâand I bring that same mindset into my work with patients.
