About Joelle
Hi, I'm Joelle, a Registered Dietitian and Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based in Saratoga, New York. I bring +12 years of experience across clinical and hospital settings, private practice, community health, and long term care. I earned my BS in Dietetics from SUNY Oneonta and I hold the credentials RD, CDN, and CDCES. When I'm not at the table, you'll find me exercising, singing, dancing, or enjoying community theatre and spending time with my family. I aim to be warm, approachable, and genuinely focused on you and your health journey.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is built on evidence-based practice, empathy, and partnership. I stay grounded in current science while meeting you where you are, with clear, action-oriented steps that support lasting change. I honor Health At Every Size by focusing on behaviors and well being rather than weight alone, and I aim to empower you with knowledge so you can make informed decisions. We look at food, sleep, stress, and activity as a whole, guiding you with warmth toward sustainable health. I like to develop fun and exciting teaching methods to help you learn complex medical information. I find that the more you understand you current medical conditions and treatment options, the more success you have in increasing the general health and quality of you life.
Your first session with Joelle
Our first appointment is a welcoming, collaborative conversation. We'll review your medical history and take a deep dive into your relationship with food. We'll establish individualized short term goals, begin to create a practical meal plan, and review any lab work or biometrics that matter to you. You don't need to have everything figured out yet. We will explore your questions and interests and set 1 to 3 achievable next steps. Together, we'll lay the groundwork for a plan that fits your life. I enjoy working with patients to overcome barriers and tapping into their strengths, where we together can create reachable and sustainable goals. You will find yourself in a comfortable, fun, motivating, and judgment-free environment, where you will feel valued and understood.
