About Jordan
Hi, my name is Jordan Chen, I am a Registered Dietitian with a background in sports nutrition and exercise physiology, passionate about helping individuals build sustainable nutrition habits that support long-term health and performance in daily life or sport. I have experience working with collegiate and recreational athletes, and I also work with individuals with a wide range of health and performance goals, focusing on individualized, realistic strategies that fit each client’s lifestyle and goals.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition is multifactorial and influenced by many aspects of life — including routines, stress, culture, and past experiences with food. Because of this, I take a comprehensive, individualized approach to care, focusing on understanding you as a whole person rather than just your nutrition goals. Nutrition is not only fuel; it can also represent comfort, familiarity, safety, and connection. I meet you where they are, respecting personal preferences and readiness for change. I will never force you to try something you’re uncomfortable with, but I may offer gentle guidance or encouragement when I believe it can support your health and goals. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where progress feels achievable and sustainable.
Your first session with Jordan
During your first session, I’ll spend time getting to know you beyond just nutrition. I’ll ask questions about your lifestyle, routines, challenges, and your expectations for working together. This helps us build a trusting relationship and ensures that our work is aligned with your goals. The goal of the first session is to create a supportive foundation so we can move forward with clear, realistic next steps that feel right for you.
