About Jordan

Hello there! I'm Jordan Wingate and I've been a practicing Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for the past 7 years and a mama of two little boys in western NC. As an RD, I have 5 years of experience working with ESRD patients on dialysis, 2 years of acute and long-term care experience, and have extensive experience counseling patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Cardiovascular conditions, and individuals striving for weight loss. I've helped hundreds of people take charge of their health and I'd love to be there in the same way for you! https://www.linkedin.com/in/jordan-wingate-ms-rd-ldn/

Approach to care

My counseling style is very patient-led, relational, non-judgemental, and goal-focused; I want to support you with whatever your personal goals and to help you make changes that are sustainable for you long-term. That said, I will ask you questions that challenge you and push you to keep chasing after it. Long-term health is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and our families. Building a healthy lifestyle takes time, so give yourself grace in the journey!

Your first session with Jordan

In our first session, we'll discuss your personal health goals and your current life rhythms. You may be asked about current medications and medical history. Any information that you want to prepare ahead of time to bring to our first session (e.g. medication lists, diet logs, written health goals) can help to expedite your progress, but is completely optional. Toward the end of our session, we can discuss some optional tasks to work on before our next session to keep forward momentum in your health journey.
