Approach to care
As a dietitian, Shepherd "Shep" takes a personalized and holistic approach to care for his patients. He believes in establishing a strong rapport with each individual to understand their unique needs, goals, and challenges. Shep begins by conducting a thorough assessment of the patient's current diet, lifestyle, and health status. Based on this assessment, Shep works collaboratively with the patient to develop a customized nutrition plan that is practical, sustainable, and tailored to their specific goals. He educates the patient on the importance of balanced nutrition, portion control, and mindful eating practices. Shep also emphasizes the importance of ongoing support and monitoring to help the patient stay on track and make necessary adjustments to their plan as needed. He encourages open communication and feedback from the patient to ensure that they feel empowered and motivated to make positive changes to their diet and overall health.
