About Joy
Hi, I’m Joy Liu Diamond! I’m a Clinical Nutrition Manager at a community hospital, and before this role, I worked as an abdominal (liver, kidney, pancreas) transplant dietitian. While I enjoy my leadership role, I’ve always had a passion for working one-on-one with patients in the outpatient setting. I have a special focus on liver disease and diabetes, but more than anything, I love helping people find simple, realistic ways to improve their health through nutrition. My goal is to bring a little joy into your life by supporting you in building habits that make you feel your best. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me cheering on my favorite sports teams, playing with my son, or spending time with my two dogs.
Approach to care
My approach to care is centered on working one-on-one with you to truly understand your lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I use evidence-based nutrition recommendations and focus on creating simple, realistic strategies that can be easily incorporated into your daily life. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable, so you feel supported every step of the way.
Your first session with Joy
In your first session, my goal is to get to know you—not just your nutrition habits, but also your lifestyle, routines, and what matters most to you. We’ll talk about your current eating patterns, your health goals, and any challenges you may be facing. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that feels realistic and doable, focusing on small steps that fit naturally into your daily life. I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident that we’ll move forward at a pace that works for you.
