About Joy

Hey, I’m a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with over 15 years of experience helping clients improve their health through realistic, sustainable nutrition, without extreme diets or an all-or-nothing mindset. I specialize in weight loss, body composition changes, and helping clients manage high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high A1C levels (pre-diabetes). We will work on emotional eating, eating for your lifestyle, and making sure you don't feel overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice. My approach is practical, personalized, and judgment-free. I don’t believe in rigid rules or cutting out the foods you love. Instead, I focus on helping you understand your habits, learn the “why” behind your choices, and build routines that actually fit your lifestyle. I focus on building sustainable habits, improving consistency, and helping you understand the “why” behind your choices, rather than chasing quick fixes. You can expect a judgment-free space, practical guidance, and accountability that meets you where you are, so you feel confident making progress without feeling overwhelmed or restricted.

Your first session with Joy

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation focused on getting to know you. We’ll talk through your health history, goals, current eating habits, lifestyle, and any challenges you’ve been running into. I’ll ask questions to understand what you’re eating and how food fits into your daily life. By the end of the session, you’ll have clarity around your priorities, a few clear and realistic action steps to get started, and a plan that feels supportive. In this, we set a strong foundation and realistic, achievable goals that we will work toward.
