About Judy
Judy has been a registered dietitian for over 19 years and has dedicated her career to helping people lead healthier lives through nutrition and lifestyle modifications. She has worked mainly in the outpatient setting, providing individual nutrition counseling and teaching group classes on topics such as weight management and diabetes. She was also a health and wellness coach for participants in the BWEL (Breast Cancer Weight Loss) study at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Approach to care
You and Judy will work together as a team to create an individualized action plan that includes tailored nutrition interventions that will help you reach your goals. She also recognizes that food is much more than just nutrition, it is an expression of love, family, and tradition. This perspective has proven to help her connect with patients in a way in which they feel understood. Whether you are looking to lose weight, improve your cholesterol or blood pressure, lower your blood sugar, or increase your energy, she will teach you how to fit in your favorite foods without sabotaging your health goals!
Your first session with Judy
The first session is all about getting to know you and what your health and wellness goals are. Judy will perform a thorough nutrition assessment, asking questions related to medical history, lifestyle, dietary patterns and preferences, sleep, and stress. You will then learn more about her approach and together, will establish a plan for moving forward.
