About Juli

I have been a Registered Dietitian for 14 years, with most of my experience in clinical and critical care settings. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with people navigating complex and often life-altering chronic conditions, which has given me a deep appreciation for how intertwined food, health, and quality of life truly are. I focus on helping people find comfort, confidence, and peace in their relationship with food, even in the midst of medical challenges. I believe nutrition care should be practical, compassionate, and sustainable, supporting not just physical health, but emotional well-being and day-to-day enjoyment of life.

Approach to care

I follow a non-diet approach to health and eating, which means I don’t believe in restrictive food rules or labeling foods as ā€œgoodā€ or ā€œbad.ā€ Food doesn’t have moral value, it’s not a measure of willpower, worth, or character. We all need to eat to survive, and we all deserve access to food that nourishes us and brings pleasure. Enjoyment is not a failure of health; it’s part of being human. By letting go of guilt and shame around eating, I focus instead on listening to the body, honoring hunger and fullness, and making choices that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being over the long term.

Your first session with Juli

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you as a whole person and explore your unique relationship with food and eating. I’ll listen closely to your experiences, concerns, and goals, including any past struggles with diets or food rules. Together, we’ll identify practical, compassionate ways to support your health without restriction, guilt, or rigid guidelines. The focus is not on perfection, but on finding flexible, sustainable approaches that honor your body, your preferences, and your real life—so you can feel more confident, nourished, and at ease around food.
