About Julia
Hi, I’m Julia! I’m a Registered Dietitian with seven years of experience. I have an MS in Applied Nutrition and a BS in Nutrition Science from Russell Sage College. I love working with adolescents and adults who feel stressed, stuck, or overwhelmed around food and want a healthier relationship with food and their body. Many of the people I support have a long history of dieting, anxiety around eating, or recovery from disordered eating or an eating disorder. They want food to feel less stressful and more supportive of their health, energy, and quality of life. I’ve worked in mental health, clinical, and community settings, and I keep nutrition realistic and individualized. I’m especially passionate about helping people rebuild trust with food, step away from rigid rules, and create sustainable habits that support long-term health. Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, hiking, baking, reading, and getting lost in a true-crime documentary.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition care should feel collaborative, practical, and supportive. My approach focuses on helping you turn information into habits that actually work in your day-to-day life. Rather than focusing on strict plans, rules, or perfection, we work on building flexibility, consistency, and trust with food and your body. I help you find ways of eating and moving that fit your preferences, routines, and goals, without nutrition feeling like a constant source of stress. I take a behavior-focused, weight-neutral approach, with an emphasis on supporting both physical and mental well-being. My goal is to help nutrition feel more doable and less overwhelming, so you can make choices with confidence and feel supported in the long term.
Your first session with Julia
Our first session is a conversation focused on getting to know you. We will review your health history, your relationship with food, and what has or has not been helpful in the past. You do not need to have clear goals before we meet. Together, we will identify areas you want support with and outline realistic next steps you can begin using right away, while also keeping long-term goals in mind. My priority is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and more confident moving forward.
