About Julie
My fascination with nutrition began as a kid, when I would flip through my family’s encyclopedias, drawn especially to the sections on vitamins and minerals. I loved learning how nutrients like vitamin C worked in the body and what happened when we did not get enough of it. I am still inspired by the science of nutrition and grateful for the opportunity to help people nourish their bodies in meaningful, lasting ways. As a woman in midlife, I understand firsthand the challenges that come with this season of change—physically, mentally, and metabolically. I also bring the perspective of being a mom to a son with Type 1 Diabetes. While my training prepared me to understand the disease, nothing teaches you more than living it daily. Because of this, I have a deep commitment to supporting those with Diabetes. I believe therapeutic nutrition and lifestyle changes are paramount for both healing and long-term health management.
Approach to care
If you are tired of fad diets and quick fixes, I am here to help you create lasting, effective change. My approach is holistic—I want to understand your full picture: sleep, stress, medications, activity levels, favorite foods, even your must-have treats. With this, we can build a plan that feels realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. I believe many things in life are beyond our control—but even in the hardest seasons, meaningful nutrition and lifestyle changes can shift how we feel day to day. When we fuel our bodies well, we show up stronger for ourselves and for those we love.
Your first session with Julie
In our first session we will take time to get to know one another, followed by a comprehensive intake to explore your health history, lifestyle, symptoms, and nutrition habits through a functional nutrition lens. By mapping your personal health timeline, we can identify key patterns and contributing factors, then begin crafting a personalized nutrition strategy. This session sets the foundation for lasting change and the journey we’ll take together toward the happier, healthier you.
