Approach to care
Julie addresses your concerns in a comfortable small-steps approach, with the understanding that many factors play into food choices. She compassionately weaves evidenced-based nutrition information and intuitive eating strategies when working with clients, also paying close attention to other important factors - physical activity, sleep, stress, and YOU, the whole person. She believes that healthy behaviors can develop at any size; that while we all have room for improvements unique to our own self, we also have the capacity to take life-giving steps that can snowball into life-long change and better quality of life.
Your first session with Julie
At your initial session with Julie, she will begin with a comprehensive nutrition assessment. She’ll get to know you and your health interests by asking you many questions to understand your medical history, nutrition and lifestyle habits, and other important topics relevant to your care. She’ll also discuss your goals and perceived barriers to success, and your top concerns that she will address in upcoming visits. Together you will set individualized short-term and long-term goals for sustainable lifestyle change tailored to your own needs; you’ll walk away with an action plan to get you started toward your own unique health goals.
