About Julie
Hi, I’m Julie. With 36 years as an RD and an MPH, I blend science and compassion to help people discover what a healthy relationship with food really looks like. My career spans private practice, community health, and government settings, so I bring practical, real-world strategies you can actually use. I love learning with my clients, and when I’m not at the desk you’ll find me hiking, reading, or playing pickleball with family. I’m grateful for the chance to walk this path with you.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is collaborative, evidence-based, and educational. I base every plan on current research and proven strategies, but I meet you where you are with warmth and curiosity. I practice with a Health at Every Size mindset, focusing on behaviors that support health rather than a number on a scale. We’ll talk through your values, routines, and challenges, then design practical steps you can sustain. It’s about holistic health, ongoing learning, and long term change that respects who you are and what you want to achieve.
Your first session with Julie
Think of our first appointment as a conversation designed to understand you and your goals. We’ll review your medical history, discuss your current eating patterns, and establish short term goals that feel doable. We’ll also sketch a practical meal plan that fits your schedule and tastes. No pressure, no judgment, just questions, explanations, and collaborative planning. You don’t have to have everything figured out before we start; we’ll build steps together and adjust as we go.
