About Julie

I've been a Registered Dietitian since 2011, with a deep passion for helping people build healthier, more balanced relationships with food. My journey began in 2009 with the Woman, Infant, and Children program, where I spent three years supporting families through early nutrition education. I completed my dietetic internship in 2011 through the University of NV, Reno, and went on to gain extensive experience in clinical settings, including hospitals and rehab centers. Currently, I specialize in renal nutrition and work as a dietitian in a dialysis center. in 2020, I became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, further expanding my ability to support clients managing chronic conditions. I take a personalized and compassionate approach, focusing on realistic, sustainable changes that align with your unique lifestyle and health goals. Whether you're navigating a medical diagnosis or simply striving to feel your best, I'm here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Approach to care

My approach to care is centered on compassion, evidence-based guidance, and empowering each individual to create sustainable, realistic changes that align with their lifestyle, values, and health goals. I believe in meeting clients where they are, using a non-judgmental and collaborative style to build trust and foster long-term success. Whether managing chronic conditions, improving relationship with food, or supporting overall wellness, I tailor each plan to the unique individual needs of the person I'm working with.

Your first session with Julie

If your first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and understanding your goals, lifestyle, medical history, and relationship with food. This is a relaxed and supportive conversation where you can share what's important to you and what you're hoping to achieve through nutrition counseling. I'll ask a few guided questions to help us shape a personalized plan, but there's no pressure - this is your space. Together, we'll begin building a roadmap that feels realistic, sustainable, and tailored to your needs.
