About Julie

I’m a registered dietitian with over 20 years of experience specializing in weight loss, weight management, bariatric surgery nutrition, GLP 1 support, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and general health. My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on helping clients build sustainable habits that fit their real lives. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Youngstown State University and completed my dietetic internship with Adagio Health in Pittsburgh, PA, gaining strong experience in chronic disease management and medical nutrition therapy. Outside of sessions, I enjoy biking, weightlifting, roller skating, listening to vinyl albums, and trying new healthy recipes, all of which inspire the balanced, energetic approach I bring to my work.

Approach to care

I meet people exactly where they are, with compassion, and zero judgment. Your lived experience, culture, and goals shape everything we do together. I believe food should feel supportive, not stressful, and I will help you build habits that fit your real life — not someone else’s rules. I use a weight‑inclusive, evidence‑based approach, focusing on behaviors that support long‑term well‑being rather than quick fixes. I see our work as a partnership, where you bring the expertise of your own life and I bring guidance, structure, and encouragement to help you move toward what matters most.

Your first session with Julie

Your first session is all about getting to know you — not judging your habits or handing you a list of rules. We start with a conversation about your goals, your relationship with food, your health history, and what’s going on in your day‑to‑day life. It’s relaxed, collaborative, and led at your pace. I listen first. You tell me what’s working, what’s not, and what you hope to change. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We explore your routines and challenges so I can understand the full picture — not just what you eat, but how you feel, what your schedule looks like, and what support you need. Together, we set a few realistic next steps that feel doable and meaningful. Nothing extreme, nothing rigid — just small shifts that move you toward the life you want. You leave with clarity and a plan, plus the reassurance that you’re not doing this alone. I’m here to guide, support, and cheer you on as you build habits that actually fit your real life.
