About Julie
Hello, I’m Julie. I am a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Nutrition Science. With a strong academic foundation, comprehensive clinical training, and a deeply personal connection to the power of medical nutrition therapy, I am eager to share my compassion, adaptability, and attention to detail with each individual. I believe in trauma-informed care that respects where you are today while helping you grow. When I’m not supporting clients, I love to cook, sing, spend time with family, read, and watch feel-good TV shows. I’m excited to work with you and get to know the person behind the numbers.
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on science-based guidance delivered with heart. I’ll lean on current evidence to shape strategies, but I’ll meet you with warmth and curiosity, never judgment. We’ll set clear, actionable steps and track progress together, focusing on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. I practice with a weight-neutral perspective and a holistic view that includes sleep, stress, and emotions alongside food. I look forward to conversations that help you understand why we choose certain approaches, so you can continue confidently on your journey even after our sessions. I bring over 15 years of experience supporting children and partnering with families to promote developmentally appropriate interactions that support feeding-related skill development. I provide education to caregivers on the division of responsibility and align nutrition guidance with interdisciplinary OT, PT, and SLP recommendations to support feeding skills and developmental milestones.
Your first session with Julie
Our first appointment is a welcoming conversation designed to ease any worry. We’ll start by reviewing your medical history and then conduct a thoughtful deep dive into your relationship with food. You’ll share what matters most to you, and we’ll begin shaping short-term goals that feel attainable. There's no need to have it all figured out yet; together we’ll map a couple of realistic steps and a plan that fits your lifestyle. Above all, I want you to feel supported, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
