About Julie
I am a licensed and registered dietitian and a licensed and board certified nurse practitioner with a specialty in nutrition and gastrointestinal diseases. I work with a variety of patients, including patients with inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, GERD and celiac disease. I also help patients with nutritional management of fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, and general weight loss/weight management.
Approach to care
I approach my relationships with patients as both a coach and a partner. I take cues from the patient to design a plan of care that best suits them and will allow them to be successful. I work to prioritize patient needs and preferences in a collaborative effort in their health journey.
Your first session with Julie
During the first session, we will start with a comprehensive medical and dietary history. I like to get to know my patients interests, short term goals, long term goals, and general nutrition/lifestyle patterns. This serves as a starting point for our working together going forward.
