About Julisa

Hi, I’m Julisa. I’m a Registered Dietitian with an MS from Montclair State University, and I have 2 years of experience across private practice and community health. My training blends a culinary arts mindset with a holistic, empathetic approach, so I look at food, bodies, and lives together rather than in isolation. When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me running, doing yoga, or testing new recipes with family. I especially enjoy supporting kids with food allergies or picky eaters, and anyone seeking mindful eating or weight goals. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m excited to get to know you.

Approach to care

As a clinician, my care is evidence-based and patient-centered. I ground my guidance in current science and proven protocols, then tailor it to your life with warmth and curiosity. We’ll work as a team to explore your relationship with food, your body, and your goals without judgment. I’m committed to sustainable habits and long-term change rather than quick fixes, and I honor a health at every size approach that centers behavior and wellbeing over numbers. Holistic care means considering sleep, stress, activity, and emotional wellbeing alongside nutrition, and I’ll share clear, practical steps so you feel confident making informed choices.

Your first session with Julisa

Our first appointment is a warm, low pressure conversation about you. We’ll start with a deep dive into your relationship with food and your medical history, so I can understand what matters most and where you’re starting from. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet; together we’ll identify 1 or 2 short term goals that feel doable and meaningful. I’ll ask about your routines, preferences, and any challenges you face, and we’ll outline a plan you can actually follow. I’m here to support you with empathy, practicality, and a clear path forward.
