About Kacy
Kacy has been a registered dietitian since 2017 and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 11, she brings both professional expertise and personal experience to diabetes care. She specializes in type 1 and type 2 diabetes management, including insulin use, carb counting, and CGM interpretation. Kacy helps patients understand blood sugar patterns and build practical strategies that fit real life. She also has experience supporting patients using GLP-1 medications, with a focus on blood sugar stability, adequate nutrition, and long-term health. Good fit if: you want support with diabetes, CGM data, insulin, or GLP-1 use. May not be the best fit if: weight loss is your only goal.
Approach to care
Kacy’s approach is rooted in evidence-based nutrition, personalization, and education. She believes diabetes care should feel empowering — not overwhelming. Rather than focusing on perfection, she helps patients understand patterns, build skills, and make practical changes that fit their lifestyle. Whether you are newly diagnosed, adjusting insulin doses, struggling with blood sugar variability, or trying to make sense of your CGM data, Kacy’s goal is to help you feel more confident and in control of your health.
Your first session with Kacy
In your first session, Kacy will take time to understand your health history, diabetes management routine, medications or insulin regimen, lifestyle, and goals. You’ll review eating patterns, activity, sleep, and (when available) CGM or glucose data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Together, you’ll create a realistic, personalized action plan focused on improving blood sugar management and building habits that are sustainable long term. Follow-up sessions allow for deeper dives into CGM interpretation, insulin or medication adjustments (in coordination with your medical team), and ongoing support as your needs evolve.
