About Kaelin
Hello! My name is Kaelin and I am a graduate of UTSA's Coordinated Program of Dietetics (Go Roadrunners!). Throughout the past two years with the UTSA Coordinated Program of Dietetics, I have had the opportunity to work in foodservice management, community nutrition, and clinical nutrition as an intern at a variety of sites to include the Texas Center for Infectious Diseases, PAM Healthy Specialty Hospital, UTHealth South Texas AHEC Program, and UTSA Roadrunner Café. These experiences have allowed me to build upon my nutritional knowledge, improve my patient interactions and communication, and sharpen my medical nutrition skills – all of which have shaped me to become a stronger, well-round dietitian. My personal mission is to promote healthy lifestyles across all stages of life and provide evidence-based nutritional interventions to improve the overall well-being of individuals in a way that is sustainable and realistic for the long-term.
Approach to care
I acknowledge the value of providing personalized and multidisciplinary care to clients, given that nutrition is not a “one-size fits all” approach. I believe that individualized treatment that attacks from all different perspectives is essential for improved patient care and sustainable lifestyle changes. -Facilitative -Empowerment -Collaboration -Empathetic -Trust -Create motivational environments that drive achievement of goals
Your first session with Kaelin
Your first session with me will first begin with me getting to know a little bit about you! We'll go over your background, your experiences, your struggles, your goals - anything and everything you wish to share. We'll then move to collaboratively creating plans and interventions that are personalized and sustainable for your lifestyle. My end goal for you is achieving long-term success and an overall positive mindset when it comes to your health!
