About Kaitlyn
Originally from the south suburbs of Chicagoland, I’ve spent the last several years living and working in the city of Chicago as a dietitian. My passion for nutrition began with a love of running, an early interest in health and physiology, and a desire to help people. Over the years, I’ve worked as both an inpatient and outpatient dietitian across community hospitals and at an academic medical center where I provided medical nutrition therapy for a variety of conditions. My areas of clinical expertise include digestive nutriton, oncology nutrition, cardiovascular nutrition, and complex nutrition support (management of tube feedings and TPN) in outpatient and critical care settings like the surgical ICU. I hold certifications as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) and in the low FODMAP diet from Monash University.
Approach to care
My approach to care is deeply empathetic, individualized, and evidence-based. I strive to understand each person’s unique story—considering lifestyle, culture, background, and goals—to provide truly personalized nutrition guidance. I value a data-driven approach, using tools like meal logging, lab reviews, and therapeutic diets (ie. Mediterranean, FODMAP) to uncover meaningful insights. While I hold myself accountable as a provider, I also aim to create a supportive, comfortable space where clients feel motivated rather than judged. I’m committed to science-based recommendations, but I also believe in the power of human connection—and the kind of support and flexibility that feel both helpful and human.
Your first session with Kaitlyn
During your first session, we’ll take a deep dive into your health journey. I’ll ask detailed questions to understand your medical history, lifestyle, nutrition habits, goals, and any barriers you may be facing. We’ll review any relevant lab data and discuss what matters most to you. Through this conversation-style comprehensive assessment, we’ll identify clear and realistic goals, and I’ll provide personalized, evidence-based recommendations to help guide your next steps. This session is all about setting a strong foundation for lasting progress—together. NOTE: I do not currently provide care for individuals with diagnosed or suspected eating disorders. This area requires specialized expertise, which is outside the scope of my clinical specialities; my goal is to ensure you’re connected with a dietitian who can offer the most appropriate and skilled support.
